Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

QRScan is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not collect data, require account registration, or store personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number) on our servers.

The app may process the following data types, but only on your device:

• Camera images — used to recognize QR codes/barcodes in real time; never saved or uploaded to a server.
• Content of scanned codes (text, links, Wi‑Fi info, etc.) — stored locally in your scan history on your device.
• Anonymous technical diagnostic data (e.g., crash reports) if you opt in to share via the App Store.

2. Device permissions

QRScan may request the following permissions to work fully:

• Camera — required to scan QR codes/barcodes.
• Photo library — optional, to scan codes from existing photos or save QR codes you generate.

You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

3. How we use data

All scan data is processed locally to display results to you instantly. We do not use this data for advertising, behavioral analytics, or sell it to any third party.

4. Sharing data with third parties

QRScan does not integrate any third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. We do not share, rent, or sell user data to any organization.

5. Data storage & security

Your scan history and generated QR codes are stored locally on your device using standard iOS security mechanisms. If you delete the app, all of this data is permanently erased from your device.

6. Children's privacy

QRScan is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us so we can address it.

7. Your rights

Because QRScan does not store personal data on any server, you have full control over your data by clearing your scan history in the app or uninstalling the app.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
